The Miners Cake's Days are traditionally held on the first weekend of July. The event is dedicated to the traditional miners cake called Rudarska greblica, which has been one of the most important cultural events in the Samobor region since 1985. The event welcomes to exhibit everyone who contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage in any way. Except eating greblica, one can also visit the mine of St. Barbara and enjoy the musical program.

Miners cake is usually made of cheese and walnuts, and since 19th century has been the only meal in the day for those working in the local mines of copper, iron and plaster around Rude. The name of the cake comes from the wooden tool used for shoveling embers in farmhouse bread ovens.

Today, Miners cake Rudarska greblica is the trademark of any miners home. Since 2007 the making of the cake is protected as non-material cultural treasure by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia.
